PharmaTools Desktop is a Windows app for the PCs in your pharmacy and the clinics you work with. Faxes sent from any program go through PharmaTools instead of the phone line, so a prescription from a clinic on PharmaTools lands in your inbox in seconds, not 10 to 15 minutes later. It also sends what your pharmacy software saves to a folder, and saves every incoming fax to the PC.
A fax to a number that gets its faxes on PharmaTools skips the phone network and lands straight in that inbox. No dialling, no busy signal, no waiting for pages.
Their software faxes through Windows the way it always has. PharmaTools sends it instead of the modem, from any program or Windows account on the PC.
Windows still marks each fax sent or failed. A fax that can’t go says so at once instead of sitting in the Outbox.
Point it at the folder your pharmacy software saves faxes to. Each document is faxed through PharmaTools as it lands.
Word and RTF documents are turned into PDF on the PC before they’re sent.
Ask whoever is at the PC for it, or keep the document in the Pending folder for later.
Each document moves to a folder once it’s handled, and the app keeps a list of today’s faxes.
Incoming faxes are saved to a folder as they arrive, for software that reads faxes from a folder.
A fax only counts as saved once the file is safely on the PC. If the PC was off, it catches up when it’s back.
The same faxes stay in PharmaTools eFax, so the team can read, assign and file them there too.
It keeps working whether or not anyone is signed in to Windows. A tray icon shows what’s running and today’s counts.
The app shows a code and a manager or an admin approves it in PharmaTools. Disconnect a PC from Settings any time.
New versions install on their own, and each one is checked before it runs.
Create your account, pick the modules you need and set up your numbers. It takes a few minutes.
